The straightforward install: cut once, mount the frame on both sides, done in an afternoon. Door-mounted units fit standard exterior and interior doors, and they're the right starting point unless the door is in the wrong place or you can't cut it. Measure your dog at the shoulder and add clearance — the flap opening should let them pass without ducking, and undersizing is the most common mistake here.
